Final Week: Dog Might Display Boxes & Gleam Giveaway
almost 3 years ago – Fri, Jul 02, 2021 at 09:30:55 PM

Greetings Adventurers!

We have a very exciting week ahead! This update has a lot of topics so please take a moment to read the whole thing.

Dog Might Display Boxes. Mike at Dog Might sent me some really awesome pictures of the prototype they put together. The final version will be large enough for tarot sized decks and it'll have the actual Oracle logo on it, but these pictures give you a good idea of what to expect. We expect to have them available in maple (shown below) and a finish Mike called "Dark Sapphire" which just sounds awesome so I can't imagine what it looks like! These are now available as an Add On for $100 each.

Prototype for example purposes only. The final version will be large enough for tarot-sized decks and feature the official Oracle logo.

Legendary Games Kickstarter. Our friends at Legendary Games have a Kickstarter for a very cool looking bestiary that's ending today. We're sorry about the last minute heads up, but we only just realized it was ended and figured it couldn't hurt spreading the word: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/legendarygames/asian-monsters-90-magnificent-monsters-for-dnd-5e?ref=3uggpk

Countdown Party. We'll be having a countdown party live stream on Thursday July 8th at 10am PDT. Most of the Nord crew will be on the stream and we'll have not 1, not 2, but 3 mystery guests! They're a mystery to you because we want to keep it a surprise, but I obviously know who they are. Imagine if I didn't even know... that might be fun for a future stream, but anyway... join us on Thursday as the campaign comes to an end!

Gleam Giveaway. To help spread the word about the project as we enter the final week we decided to run a Gleam Giveaway. The prizes are pretty epic so please check it out and share a link with your friends using the "Share with your friends to get more tickets" option as each time another person uses that link you'll get more tickets in the raffle! https://gleam.io/kCu1p/the-oracle-story-generator-giveaway

We look forward to seeing you on the final day if you can make it!

Happy gaming!

Week 1, New Stretch Goals, And A Live Stream!
almost 3 years ago – Thu, Jun 24, 2021 at 04:55:34 PM

Greetings Adventurers!

Thank you so much for your support as we close our week 1 and enter week 2 of the campaign! With this being a 24 day campaign we have just 16 days left so please continue to share a link to the project with all of your gamer friends!

We asked everyone to cast your vote for our next series of stretch goals and we received a lot of great feedback. The huge winner was The Storytellers Guide which will be added to all PDFs and the booklet in the Box Set. Other stand outs were thicker cardstock, wooden deck boxes, and foil stamped cards. We're in contact with our manufacturers on the feasibility of all of these and things are looking good.

Please join us today while we talk about Simple Sidequests on our Live Stream. If you miss us live the video will be available on the main campaign page under Live Streams.

We're Setting Records! Plus, New Stretch Goals Survey!
almost 3 years ago – Sat, Jun 19, 2021 at 04:27:36 AM

Greeting Adventurers!

This project has beaten all of our previous records for most funding in the first 4 days. Thank you so much for your pledge and thank you again if you've been sharing the project all over the internet.

We've received a lot of great comments on our previous update. We asked the community what sort of stretch goals you'd like to see as we continue to overfund on this project. We've identified a collection of stretch goals that are possible without changing the scope and scale of this project. Please cast your vote so that we can determine stretch goal popularity and possible order. Any option with (Add On) on it means it would be available as an add on for a reasonable price.

Please cast you vote on the survey here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/CCT7LJZ

We did not include stretch goals that involved products that should really be their own Kickstarters such as the Oracle Story II which will include new themes, or The Oracle Character Generator which is pretty self explanatory as to its function. Both of these are currently in development.

Thank you in advance for your vote, and thank you for backing our project!

Happy gaming!

Stretch Goal Achieved! What's Next?
almost 3 years ago – Thu, Jun 17, 2021 at 09:40:16 PM

Greetings Adventurer!

Thank you all for backing our project and thank you again if you participated in our Stretch Goal Survey. There were two clear winners which were More Artwork and Pregenerated Stories. The other three options which were Custom Card Sleeves, A Custom Oversized d4, and a Custom Neoprene Game Mat won the 3rd, 4th, and 5th place spot respectively.

We are working on getting pricing on these three possible stretch goals, but honestly we're at a loss for other stretch goal ideas that you the community would be excited about. This is not an especially complicated project so coming up with things that would add value to it has been difficult.

What are things you'd like to see at your gaming table or in the gaming world in general that relate to this project? These could be additional products, events such as special live streams, pins, stickers, dice sets, etc.

Please throw out your ideas in the comments below and we'll compile them all into another survey so everyone can cast a vote for their favorite option.

Happy gaming!
